The 2020 Guangzhou Design Week with the theme of "Happy PLAY" was held in Guangzhou from December 3rd to 6th. During the design week, at the award ceremony of the 2020 Kapok Design Awards China(product design category) co-hosted by China Industrial Design Association and Guangzhou International Design Week, the Roy Seat, a participating product of ONLEAD Group, won the Product Design Award.

As the origin project of Guangzhou Design Week, the KapokDesign Awards China was launched in 2006 under the leadership of the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government.  It is currently the only annual international design event in China that has been certified by the three major international authoritative design organizations.It is one of the the most influential design awards in China.He unswervingly introduces many innovative and forward-looking design concepts and unique smart lifestyles into the Chinese consumer market. It is the annual inventory of "Made in China" moving towards "Created in China", a channel for enterprises to express their design power, and the highest platform for product display and innovative design.

In 2020, the "KapokDesign Awards" further focus "to improve the quality of human life", to "design for industrial upgrading drivers," as the goal and mission, focus on the integral design of the comprehensive practice, building design and manufacturing, consumer information and the demand for interactive platform, the living space and product design, manufacturing, brand communication between consumers and establish a dynamic cycle, establish a healthy, fair, correct and complete evaluation standard and promotion system for large-scale design.  The product design award was selected online by members of the Expert Committee of Guangzhou Design Week from several dimensions, including ergonomics, functionality, user friendliness, design quality, aesthetics, safety, accessibility, sustainability, durability, materials and details, manufacturing process and quality, energy efficiency and environmental compatibility.  Three jury panels composed of famous interior designers, media and international experts will give final evaluation to all the products awarded by the "Product Design Award".
